Explore Oki Sushi

Tucked away at 1740 Church St in San Francisco, Oki Sushi is a welcoming spot that shines both for dine-in and takeout experiences. The moment you walk in-or pick up your order-you can sense the attention to detail and friendly service that sets this place apart. The staff are consistently praised for being helpful and approachable, making your sushi experience feel relaxed and personalized. The menu offers a satisfying variety, from classic sashimi platters to inventive rolls, all crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Favorites like the 49ers Roll and King of Hamachi showcase bold flavors and generous portions, while the shrimp poke bowl stands out as a light yet satisfying option that balances freshness with a touch of indulgence. For those who enjoy warm dishes alongside sushi, the Chicken Teriyaki Rice Plate is a comforting choice, combining tender chicken with perfectly cooked rice and sauce that hits just the right savory notes.

Takeout here is a smooth experience, and many diners appreciate that you get the same level of quality at home as you do in the restaurant. Assorted sashimi and specialty rolls travel well, offering vibrant flavors that make unpacking your order feel almost like a mini celebration. The menu also includes some creative experiments, such as the Jalapeno Roll, though some may find its texture closer to bell peppers than the familiar creamy or crunchy sushi rolls, adding a playful twist for adventurous eaters. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or planning a full takeout spread, Oki Sushi brings together great staff, consistent quality, and a menu that satisfies both traditional sushi lovers and those looking for something a little different. We ordered takeout and it was very good. We did the assorted sashimi, 49ers roll, king of hamachi, and jalapeno roll. I wouldn't order the jalapeno roll because it had a texture similar to bell peppers that I didn't love. It was around $80 bucks which seemed like a good price and quality.

Delicious and great value! Recommend the shrimp poke bowl and the blackhawks roll!

Good Sushi, Terrible Atmosphere The sushi itself was good — fresh fish and nicely prepared — but everything else about the experience made us want to leave. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was uncomfortable. The waitress looked confused (and almost annoyed) that we were there, with no greeting or welcome. The music was some sort of loud Disney-style soundtrack that made it hard to relax, and the space itself felt cold and uninviting. The miso soup came out cold, and while the beer was fine, it could have been much colder. Overall, the food is decent, but this is definitely a place better suited for takeout than dining in.

Best sushi place in Noe, probably best in SF, I might even say best in California. The food here is always top tier, and the service is outstanding. There is limited space in front so call ahead to make sure they have room. They also have a back room for private parties or on busy days. The head chef Danny, his side chef Lu, and the head waitress Iris have always treated me very well and I have always been pleased with my experiences here. COVID Update: Thank goodness that Oki is still doing take out and delivery, both on the phone and through DoorDash. I would not make it through the pandemic without them. Slightly different hours, maybe like 4-9 now, but still there top quality nigiri.

SO glad this place finally opened! The location has been empty for 10 months or so after the previous restaurant moved out. Sushi is our thing (literally every Sunday) and we couldn't be happier to have a new favorite spot right around the corner! We had miso soup, the bacon enoki skewer special, the salmon skin roll, the jalapeño roll, the beauty and the beast roll, and the TNT roll - all were so delicious I almost forgot to take pictures before we finished them! The fish is fresh, our server was sweet, the restaurant is nicely decorated, and the bathrooms are super clean. What more can you ask for! Can't wait to go back to try the whole grilled squid.

Small place, and very busy. There were so many to-go orders waiting for pickup, surely a good sign. Excellent menu, and the happy hour menu has great prices. Great selection of rolls, such clever and delicious combinations on offer. Reminded me a bit of Tokyo… Enjoy!
